• File metadata: File names, types, sizes, and folder paths needed to organize your files. We do not read or store the contents of your files.
• Usage data: How you interact with FolderMagic (features used, organization rules created) to improve our service.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and operate the FolderMagic service
• Organize your files according to your preferences and rules
• Send you sign-in links (if using passwordless email login)
• Send transactional emails (account verification, organization reports)
• Process payments through Stripe

We never sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Authentication & Third-Party Services

FolderMagic offers sign-in via Google OAuth, Microsoft OAuth, and passwordless email links. When you sign in through Google or Microsoft, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from those services. We do not receive or store your Google or Microsoft password.

We use the following third-party services:

• Stripe: Payment processing. We do not store your credit card or financial information.
• Resend: Transactional email delivery (sign-in links, notifications).
• OpenAI: AI-powered file categorization. Only file names and types are sent for analysis, never file contents.

4. Cloud Storage Access

When you connect Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive, we access only the files and folders you explicitly authorize. You can disconnect your cloud accounts at any time from your dashboard. Upon disconnection, we remove your stored access tokens.

5. Data Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS encryption. Access tokens are stored securely in our database. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your information.

6. Data Retention

Your account data is retained as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information within 30 days.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and data
• Disconnect cloud storage accounts at any time
